When we were introduced to Rico D Writer, we really didn?t know what to expect. He was introduced as an A&R for Universal Music Distribution Group but little did we know just how involved in the business he is.

Dubbed the ?Music Afficionado? by his peers, Rico has a very personable and intriguing personality and because of a few bad decisions and mistakes made at a young age concerning his musical career path he has dedicated his life to educating and steering young artist hopefuls in the right direction in order to give them the best possible chance of achieving thier musical dreams.
As CEO and founder of F.O.Y. Artist Consulting Firm, Rico uses the knowledge he?s learned over the years as a songwriter, arranger and producer combined with his work as an A&R to impart industry knowledge to aspiring artists and help them put the many pieces of their image together in order to help them learn the business of music. Also, he makes a point to give these artists a ?reality check? to make sure they understand the pitfalls and help them determine in their own mind whether they are indeed ?industry ready?.
